Beschreibung: PTZ cameras are traditionally controlled either by joystick or with preset positions. The most common protocol in devices is VISCA and was established more than 25 years ago by SONY; It is outdated and turns out to be the limiting factor when using PTZ cameras for closed-loop control with vision feedback. The goal of this thesis is to redesign the motor control of an off-the-shelf PTZ camera using an Arduino and a motor control shield such that the unit can be controlled by one of the existing vision feedback systems in the lab.
