Beschreibung:OverviewEnergy efficiency of buildings is a current topic of great interest. Mainly two approaches are currently followed in research. There is at one hand the research focused on the technological aspect, i.e., improving insulation, lightning and control of heating. In these consideration the occupants are either disregarded or treated as exogenous disturbance. But while the environment as temperature or solar radiation are really external disturbances, the behavior of the occupants may be integrated by providing them with information. This is exploited by social scientists, who strive to achieve energy savings by employing behavior-based approaches. The basic idea of this project is to combine the two ideas and integrate the feedback of the occupants in the energy management control. Project DescriptionThe specific SA/MA project is focused on integrating an occupant cost function into the global optimization problem. This cost function should be based on insight of the social scientists and needs to be suited for the considered optimization problem. Different cost functions are to be analyzed.
