Bart Van Parys is selected to be a finalist in George Nicholson Award competition

Abstract:

Bart Van Parys has been selected as a finalist in the “George Nicholson Student Paper Competition” for his article entitled “Generalized Gauss Inequalities via Semidefinite Programming”. All finalists are invited to present their work at the INFORMS 2014 Annual Meeting in San Francisco.

The prize

The George Nicholson Student Paper Competition is held each year to identify and honor outstanding papers in the field of operations research and the management sciences written by a student. The prize is given at the INFORMS 2014 Annual Meeting in San Francisco. Previous winners include Erick Delage (2009), Tito Homem-de-Mello (1998) and Dimitris J. Bertsimas (1989).
