IFA OPEN HOUSE

Abstract:

On Tuesday, November 22nd 2011, the Automatic Control Laboratory (IfA) would like to welcome all students interested in automatic control to the IfA Open House. The events starts at 4.15pm in ETZ E6 with a introduction to the different groups in our lab given by the professors John Lygeros, Manfred Morari, and Heinz Koeppl. Thereafter, there will be different stations where current research topics are presented. We would like to encourage you to take this opportunity to get in touch with members of IfA and find interesting semester and master projects. The event ends with a closing pizza apero in ETL K25.

Time schedule

4.15-5.00pm: Presentation of the lab by the professors (ETZ E6)
5.10-6.00pm: Various stations with presentations on current research topics, including

Automatic Racing
Snake Robot
RCopterX (Helicopter Control)
RoboCup
Neuroprosthesis Control
Systems Biology
Reserve Scheduling for Power Systems and Electricity Market Pricing Mechanisms
Building Control
Control of Power Electronics Systems

The presentations will be given every 20 minutes, such that every student can attend three presentations.
6.00-open end: closing pizza apero in ETL K25.
