Thomas Villgrattner wins the 2nd prize of the DGBMT Student Award | |
Abstract: Thomas Villgrattner obtained this prize for giving his oral presentation about "A new principle for a fMRI-compatible haptic device". The prize was awared in the frame of the 39th Conference of the German Society of Biomedical Technology (DGBMT - Deutsche Gesellschaft für Biomedizinische Technik) held in Nuremberg, September 14-17. This conference is the largest German conference in the field of biomedical engineering. Traditionally, a large number of students participate, thus, leading to a strong competition. Thomas Villgrattner performed his Diploma Thesis at IfA in collaboration with the Institute of Neuroradiology, University Zurich (S. Kollias, R. Kleiser). He designed a MR-compatible haptic display device that can be used for fMRI studies. Further Information |
